Friday Flicks: A Charlie Brown Christmas

I was eight years in 1965 when A Charlie Brown Christmas first aired on TV. This show was one of my best childhood memories. I loved Linus the best! He was the voice of reason, kindness and compassion.

I really like this one, because as much as I love the fantasy Christmas specials - this one is magical too, and other than anthropomorphizing Snoopy a bit, it's completely real. Amazon sells a replica of the Christmas tree from this show - I'm really thinking about ordering one!

Craig: This is one of my favorite Christmas shows. I really love the music by Vince Guaraldi. I, too, have a soft place in my heart for the Christmas tree...

We share the same favorite Christmas show and character in it. Just dropped by to say thanks for having always been my friend, Roland

Roland: Great to hear from you! This is a terrific show. They don't make them like this anymore.

I find myself watching classics more and more, though I think SUPER 8 may be a classic in the years to come. Have a great new week, Roland

Roland: I saw Super 8 and Loved It! Reminds me of the old Spielberg style.
